About Us
Simon Thomas, Company Director.
Simon is the founder of Optimus Team Learning Ltd, based in North Yorkshire (UK). He created the company in 2014, in response to key challenges facing organisations today and his passion for driving positive change within the workforce.
Simon first joined the retail sector in 1995, building his early experience within Operations for Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer and Christian Salvesen Logistics. In 1998 Simon joined the Asda Supply Chain and led numerous teams across Food and General Merchandise to deliver world-class availability for customers. From the buzz of successfully recruiting, leading and growing his people, he discovered his passion for training and became an Asda Skills Development Tutor in 2010, delivering game-changing L&D programmes across Asda.
He qualified with a Certificate in Human Resource Development From the CIPD (Level 7) in 2013 setting up Optimus Team Learning the following year.
Simon's qualifications cover Learning & Development, Hypnotherapy, NLP, Stress Management, Mental Health First Aid, Coaching, Lumina Practitioner, Heartstyles Practitioner, British Cycling Ride Leader & First Aid. DBS Checked.BSc (Hons). DHypPsych. CIPD, ISMA, CertSM, CMI

Suzie Thomas, head of operations
Suzie ensures the smooth running of Optimus Team Learning, managing all the fine details of events and training. She is also our marketing and finance guru!
Suzie has a medical background having formerly worked as a paediatric nurse and physiotherapist. She has also successfully run several small businesses, most recently a fitness studio in Harrogate. She now brings her business, finance and marketing skills to Optimus Team Learning along with her passion for wellbeing. She prides herself in exceptional customer service and meticulous attention to detail.
Suzie’s qualifications include: RSCN, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, Strategic Intervention Life Coach, Happiness Coach
